![]() I won't tell you how, but Chapter 7 onwards will ruin the entire thing. I do highly recommend you play this game if you're a fan of either franchise, but do yourself a favour, and stop playing right at the end of Chapter 6. ![]() It left me feeling cold and made it a bit difficult to properly enjoy this game on a second playthrough. Much as I praise everything this game does right throughout most of it, I speak no hyperbole when I say the finale ruins everything. You can tell the team poured their blood, sweat and tears into making this game work and it's a fantastic love letter to both franchises while being a solid game in its own right.Up until the finale that is. This is an excellent game that brings out the best in both Professor Layton and Ace Attorney. And for the most part, the hype was very real. If this game didn't exist, I wouldn't have encountered one my favourite franchises in all of video gaming. My ongoing wait for the game's release was what encouraged me to check out the Ace Attorney franchise, as I had not done so before. ![]() 31h 1m Played UPSIDES - Fantasy setting is an ingenious concept for this crossover - Labyrinthia feels like a noteworthy part of both franchises' history - Courtroom Chapters feature some truly hilarious moments - Almost all of the Puzzles are well-made and are great brain-benders - Fantastic Presentation and stellar cutscenes - Beautiful Visuals that compliment both series' art styles - Excellent Soundtrack that also features great rearrangements from both franchises DOWNSIDES - An ABYSMAL finale that sours the whole experience - Some of Layton's Chapters have little development - No side content that could've explored more with each franchise's history OVERALL - I have quite a bit of history with this game.
